Background
The Centre MK is a regional shopping centre which is home to over 230 stores. The centre MK is not only about the shopping experience though. As a business they are very keen to promote retail as a career option. As a result of this they set up Get Into Retail.
The idea behind this initiative was to inform that a job in retail can offer much more than people realise. They wanted to convey the message that it's not just about working on the shop floor or being sat behind a till but that there's a world of opportunity both in-store and behind the scenes. As well as being educational Get Into Retail offers a practical service by helping interested parties find a retail job that's right for them.
Objectives
1. To create a brand for Get Into Retail that was engaging
2. To educate people that there a wide range of opportunities working in retail through promoting Get Into Retail
Solution
We designed and produced a billboard campaign which was used around The Centre MK. The creative proposition was 'retail suits you'. The creative showed a broad range of jobs that were available within The Centre MK network and the creative conveyed the message that through working with Get Into Retail you could find a career that suited you. We also produced a website which synergised with the offline media.
Results
The initial results suggest that enquiries for retail positions through the website rose by 12%.
